皆さま、明けましておめでとうございます。2026年の年頭に当たり、謹んで新年のご挨拶を申し上げます。
旧年中は、従来の空間ブランディングを伴うデザイン業務をベースにしながら中長期を見据えたチームとしての再編、新しいデザインビジネスの開拓を並走しながら充実した一年を過ごしました。昨年後半からは、今後浸透するフィジカルAIが空間デザインやブランディングに与える影響を鑑みつつチーム内のスキルセットの拡充を目指したDesigning-Dxやワークフローの刷新と調整、チームとしての戦略的な思考の醸成を外部専門家の協力を仰ぎながら進めています。
Designcafeでは、2022年からポートフォリオを拡充させていくため戦略としてDesigning-Dxやワークフローも含めてさまざまな取り組みを進めてきました。この流れの一環で2023年に北陸・金沢に自社物件によるデザイン拠点” HiDEOUTLab ” (ハイドアウトラボ)を開設。空間ブランディングに不可欠になる生成AI（トポロジー解析＆ジェネレーティブデザイン）の実装し、このスキルを活用した新たなストックビジネス（自社物件による古民家→小規模宿泊施設へのコンバージョン）を金沢と能登で準備しています。
一昨年の元旦に発生した能登半島地震では、高齢世帯が多い地方の罹災復旧の難しさ、コミュニティーの維持と復興への意思統一の大変さを間近に感じてきました。同時にその復興にはこの地域のポテンシャルを信じる人たちの協力とその生業を維持できる経済的な自立が不可欠です。私たちができることは微力かもしれませんが、引き続き心を寄せていきたいと考えています。

Happy New Year to everyone.
As we enter 2026, I extend my sincere greetings for the new year.
The past year proved fruitful, as we built upon our core design work involving spatial branding while simultaneously pursuing a team reorganisation focused on the medium to long term and developing new design business opportunities. From the latter half of last year, we have been advancing initiatives such as Designing-Dx and workflow renewal and adjustment, aiming to expand our team’s skillset while considering the impact of physical AI – which will become increasingly prevalent – on spatial design and branding. We are also fostering strategic thinking within the team, with the support of external specialists.
At Designcafe, we have pursued various initiatives since 2022 as part of our strategy to expand our portfolio, encompassing Designing-Dx and workflow improvements. As part of this progression, we established our own design base, ‘HiDEOUTLab’, in Kanazawa, Hokuriku, in 2023. We are implementing generative AI (topology analysis & generative design), essential for spatial branding, and preparing a new stock business model in Kanazawa and Noto. This involves converting old houses into small-scale lodgings through our own property development.
The Noto Peninsula Earthquake that struck on New Year’s Day two years ago brought home the challenges of disaster recovery in rural areas with many elderly households, and the immense difficulty of unifying community will for maintenance and reconstruction. What we can do may be modest, but we intend to continue offering our support.
